Music City is logging its hottest days of the year, and country singers are making sure their new songs are as sizzling as the temperatures. Artists including Tim McGraw, Dan + Shay, Reba McEntire, Matt Stell, Jelly Roll, Neon Union, Caroling Jones and Drake White have new songs out for this oppressively sweltering last weekend of August.

Matt Stell with Chase Matthew, “One Of Us”: “‘One Of Us’ is about all the people I’m proud to know. I wanted to feature someone on this song who could really add to it and take the song and the idea behind it to the next level,” Matt Stell said. “I can’t think of anyone who fits that bill better than Chase [Matthew]. I’m a big fan of what he does. He’s definitely one of us."

Jelly Roll and Kendall Tucker, "Dragging Me Down": "There's a lot of people in this world hurting. Everyone has their own demons they battle. Some people show it while others try to cover it up with a smile. I couldn't think of a better artist than Jelly Roll to have on this song. Jelly continues to bring hope to hurting people. With this collaboration of myself, Jelly Roll & State of Mine we just want the people to know that they are not alone. You may feel like you're getting dragged down but don't give up, you'll get through this."

Sasha McVeigh, “Meant To Be”: “‘Meant To Be’ is a bittersweet break-up song that deals with the simple but painful notion that some people are just not meant to be together,” McVeigh said. “The song lyrically goes through the motions we all go through when dealing with the aftermath of losing the person you thought you’d spend the rest of your life with.”

Neon Union, “This Side of the Dirt”: “’This Side of the Dirt’ is a perfect song to remind us to spend every day like it’s our last and enjoy the time we have with the people we love,” said the duo’s Andrew Millsaps. “We hope this song reminds people to enjoy every part of life!”

Caroline Jones, “Serendipity”: (From her upcoming album “Homesite.”) “I titled this album ‘Homesite’ because it is about building - building my character by practicing grit and resilience, building a career that I am proud of, and now building a family of my own. Stake in the ground, this is my Homesite,” Jones said.

Grant Gilbert, “Turn It Down”: “This song is different than the tracks I’ve cut before. It’s moody, bluesy, and has an edge,” says Gilbert. “I’m excited to show the fans a new side of myself. ‘Turn It Down’ has a lot of soul and I was excited at the response I got when we teased the track on TikTok. It will be fun to see where it takes us.”

BRELAND, “Cowboy Don’t”: “I’ve been waiting to put this song out for what feels like a long time and I’m so excited the day is here,” BRELAND said. “I’ve been playing this at my live shows for the past six months or so and watching the crowd go absolutely wild just pumps me up! I love the energy in the room I get from this song, and I’m stoked to have it officially out now.”

Drake White, “Ladder to the Sky”: “I’m guilty of always pushing to what’s next,” he said. “ This is to remind me that we control very little in this life. Just keep climbing, and you’ll end up exactly where you need to be.”
